Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's "The Seasons" (Op. 37a) is a set of twelve short character pieces for solo piano, each representing a different month of the year. Composed in 1876, this work has become one of Tchaikovsky's most popular and enduring compositions.
This project is my attempt to fuse Tchaikovsky's melodic inventions with modern jazz elements. I plan to create a performance and recording of each piece to bring the listener on a musical journey.
